Christmas In The Eye Of The Storm

This past year has involved a lot of reflection for me. After being stuck along with the rest of the world for so long, things starting to move again have meant being faced with some decisions to make.

For several years now I have been hoping to release a Christmas single since I’ve never recorded holiday music, but once again it just wasn’t possible. The other thing I have been toying with was the idea of writing a Christmas devotional for special needs families.

I have such a heart for special needs moms, because I am one. I know how hard the holiday season can be for families like ours.

What is meant to be the most exciting and fun time of the year can really be the most stressful in the end. Trying to navigate family gatherings, sensory issues with fancy outfits, new foods to try, changes to routines.. the list goes on.

I cried as I wrote this devotional - from my own struggles this past year, thinking of previous Christmases, and knowing there are others out there who are feeling the same way. If something good has come from my situation, it’s been the chance to connect with and encourage others going through the same thing.

If you are mom to a child with a diagnosis, this devotional is for you.

You may be trying to make this Christmas perfect, but you’re feeling worn down in the process.

Do you need to work through the stress of 2022, and maybe find some new ways to cope with it going forward?

Do you want to start fresh in 2023 feeling renewed hope for the future?

I hope this devotional can be an encouragement, right now, in whatever this holiday season looks like for you.
